A Seasonal
Bird: Cuckoo
The cuckoo is the most familiar bird in
our country. Its colour is black. It has a black beak and a long tail. Its tune
is very sweet. It lives in trees. It eats insects. It lays its eggs in the nest
of crow. It does not hatch the eggs. The cuckoo is a seasonal bird. So, it is
seen only in April and May. In this season people are awakened by hearing the
sweet songs of cuckoo at dawn. Its sweet song reminds us of the king of season,
Spring. Its name in different way is used in our literature. It is related with
our culture. It also refreshes our mind by its melodious song. So the cuckoo is
a very splendid bird.
